2010 Watefowl Blind Registration for Truman Lake
The waterfowl blind registration process for the 2010 Missouri Waterfowl Season has been finalized for Harry S. Truman Lake. Hunters wishing to place a waterfowl hunting blind on Truman Lake may register at the Harry S. Truman Visitor Center on Friday, September 3rd from 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. A lottery drawing for blind sites will follow the registration.

2010 Collins Pie Festival 8/30
The 2010 Collins Pie Festival will be October 9th! It will be held in Collins, MO.
It will be going on from 9 a.m. through the evening til dark, then there will be a fireworks display.
There will be a Car Show from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Awards will be at 2:30 p.m.)
Bring pies from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Rustic Heart will also be playing from 3 until 7 p.m.

Tri-Star Soccer Contest
The Clinton Sunrise Optimist Club President Nolan Rutter wants to promote fun and good physical fitness for local children through this year’s Tri-Star Soccer Contest. The contest will be held on Saturday September 11th at the Tony Komer Soccer Complex at Hormeyer and Calvird Drive in Clinton.

Community Chorus In Warrensburg 9/7
Community Chorus Resumes in September. The Warensburg Community Chorus will resume for the fall season on Tuesday, September 14th, with rehearsals from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warrensburg Community Center. Auditions for new chorus members will be held at the Community Center on Tuesdat, September 7th, 2010 at 7 p.m. with chorus director Cathi Truesdale.

Summer if officially over at Living Waters Ranch and now plans are being made for a busy fall at the ranch. Activities from the summer included several Special Touch Day Camps and Jeremiah Camps held in May, June, and July.

New GED Class Sessions
August 17 — September 23
Adult Education - GED/ESL classes have begun operating on a 6 week block session. The next session begins Aug. 17 and continues to Sept. 23, 2010.
Those currently enrolled must register for the next session from Aug. 9 - Aug. 12. Anyone 17 years of age and older must stop by Truman Regional Education Center for enrollment. No phone registrations will be accepted.
